This is the best summary I could come up with:

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — A Brazilian hacker claimed at a congressional hearing Thursday that then-President Jair Bolsonaro wanted him to hack into the country’s electronic voting system to expose its alleged weaknesses ahead of the 2022 presidential election.

When the conversation got too technical, Delgatti said, Bolsonaro referred him to the Ministry of Defense, which the president had asked to prepare a report listing potential weaknesses in the voting system for the body that supervises elections.

Bolsonaro long stoked belief among his hardcore supporters that the nation’s electronic voting system was prone to fraud, though he never presented any evidence.

In June, a panel of judges concluded Bolsonaro abused his power by casting unfounded doubts on the electronic voting system and barred him from running for office again until 2030.

Delgatti, who rose to fame in 2019 for leaking messages from several prosecutors involved in an anti-corruption probe that put dozens of top politicians and businessmen behind bars, told the commission that he spoke to Bolsonaro one more time, over the phone.

In Brazil, witnesses caught lying before a parliamentary commission of inquiry can be imprisoned, said Luis Claudio Araujo, a law professor at Ibmec University in Rio de Janeiro.

Sorry, the guy who didn’t know what a golden shower meant wanted to contract a hacker to hack elections?! Look, you can’t have it both ways. He’s either a dumb fuck or he’s a smart cunt, not both.

i still remember the day where a “software engineer” that was saying that the election was rigged wrote “if voto22 == than voto13” claiming that to be a hack

No, the request wasn’t to hack the election, it was to show it was possible so they could claim it was stolen if he lost. Any single point of weakness would have been sufficient.

Smart enough to try to imply voting fraud by allegedly being able to hack into the voting system, then claim election fraud, dumb af by officially meeting a guy that was already being investigated and then have one of his (bolsonaro) close allies hire this guy to allegedly manage their social media, whom was prohibited of using the internet (I know, weird, but it was because of a previous investigation involving invading a judge’s telegram account)

He wasn’t smart for implying fraud, what are you talking about? He was clearly following his supporters wishes to hijack an important discussion of election accountability by making highly simplistic claims. Do you remember that? The whole thing started as a valid and important discussion which the bozo nutters made sound ridiculous and dumb. He was only a puppet for the right wingers, like what Dilma was to the left.

There were branches of the political spectrum who brought up the discussion of accountability of the Brazilian electoral system. It had to do with the fact that the only way for a recount of total votes is now 100% based on software which no common citizen can understand and/or check. How can a voting system be fair to an entire population when only a few highly skilled people can actually understand its inner workings? My opinion in this particular matter is irrelevant here but this was the topic that I said bozo’s supporters highjacked to push forth their own agenda. Which in turn ridiculed the whole thing for no gain, whatsoever.
