That article is unfortunately gone and I couldn’t find the link on the archive sites I know

That second one was a nothing burger really, but I wonder if it’s the same (the second link is from April of this year)

To be fair…
I did the thing where I signed up and got the app and promptly never used it
I don’t particularly like short form content (at all) but I was hoping that there’d be some relevant connection between the platforms
I’m glad nothing went awry. I was always skeptical about it because no one figured it out. It’s crazy what we do especially as kids with our innocent bliss
That reminds me of a “game” kids would (try) to play when I was young at school. The kids would say to do just that “bend over, take a deep breath” and the other one would try to lift them up really quickly. I never saw it work. I guess you were supposed to pass out. Idk

I had that feeling growing up but not the words to put it in. That world war three won’t look like two and we’re probably in it right now (this was many years ago when different turmoil was happening.)
The other reply posted a link that I’d like to read because it looks fascinating which discusses the generations of warfare. I got through the abstract but it’s early rn so I’m not trying to get through the whole thing. It confirms what I felt all these years

The acronym FAST is good to know:
From https://www.mass.gov/info-details/stroke-signs-and-symptoms-act-fast

Face
Arms
Speech
Time
One last thing. It’s ted-ed but here’s a brain researcher who experienced and analyzed a stroke as one happened:
https://youtu.be/mYD7Y9CXeUw
Cw if you need: she displays and handles a real human brain and spinal cord

I don’t play dnd but I love cards and dice. I haven’t checked out their merch but I’d love to support them. I’ll check out the dice!
I appreciate this!
Generally oc forward subs are very stringent about it truly being OC and if caught posting something that isn’t theirs will face consequences
Blurry pics of a cat’s right up on the lens is low effort. Any pictures you see posted in a place like https://lemmy.world/c/astrophotography will not be low effort because those are removed. They also require the submissions to be OC
Excluding OC communities, right? Like you’re not discounting people who put a lot of time and effort into their photography? Or even if they’re not great photographers sharing pictures of their plants and gardens and hobbies, and pets, should have the same allowances as text only posts

For funsies:
(Also forgive any incorrect terminology. It’s 5am and I don’t know the terminology)

And to recover $40b:
(But it assumed it was over 5 years)

Hey man, I regularly do that. Don’t be embarrassed. I genuinely laugh at myself because some of the things I get wrong are so wrong

That was fascinating thank you! I watched the whole thing. There’s a ton of work those people put into making their iron. Truly a community effort

Haha I love that joke and regularly find myself (and usually just to myself) using brazillion as a quantity for a lot

For funsies I looked up when I invited someone to Gmail:

Not sure exactly when my account was made but obviously before then! Also check out the generous one gig of storage space
I agree with you (and also somewhat with the other people, too)
I want to keep some accounts completely separate from my other accounts, and also don’t want to set up a whole other set of accounts to keep them separate
E.g., on Reddit I would keep certain conversations on reddit only (but used a 3rd party app mostly so I never saw the chats, just dm/pms)

Yes, but no (not trying to be contrarian) because I felt it was definitely before last year
The Budweiser boycott started 2 years ago April 2023
But YES those are the same snowflakes

I show this video whenever possible because it’s so fucking awesome
But it’s now a guidebook

Your comment is great, equally snarky and informative. I appreciate it and got a couple giggles out of it, too!
Thanks for taking the time for both of your comments. I’ve saved them for the future as I can no longer drink dairy and not a fan of how much sugar some of the commercial oat milks have
That is impossible to read. The site I mean
