Wait, you lost me. Which is on which horizontal plane?

I would argue it is an important distinction, though.
The original statement implies that there is a problem in how California classifies what constitutes a risk.
That comment claims that it’s manufacturers being lazy.
If it’s manufacturers being lazy, then the issue is the regulation is too relaxed, allowing them to just bypass the regulation by slapping pointless stickers on things (like websites try to do with cookie banners)
If the actual requirements to not need the sticker are so stringent that everything with the label actually does need it, then there’s a problem with the level of danger listed and the regulation is too onerous.

*backed off on 7 ?
I think you’re also overlooking that the driver model changed for Vista, so tons of hardware listed as supporting Vista was just extremely unstable at release until hardware vendors figured out the new driver model

Google also didn’t release the source for the 10, so I’d expect the support to always be subpar compared to the previous models
They’ve been working towards killing it for 10+ years.
It does seem like we’re nearing the completion of their goals

$180 * 1.55 = $279

The (most expensive) Qualcomm part is 55% more expensive than the (cheapest) MediaTek part

Using an alternative means you’d only reach people who already know the problems with big tech.
You need to reach people where they are to have any chance at giving them new information
Actually, you have to kill your children before yourself.
They become zombie processes if you kill yourself while they’re still alive.

Don’t forget to hit the sigils with lightning

10 years ago, that was believed to be best practice.
If they’re still doing it in the last 2-3 years, they don’t have anyone keeping up with modern security standards
At least it’s not your data

The majority of accounts I have don’t have an expiry
I wouldn’t trust personal data with anything that does - they certainly don’t have any security professionals on staff

NIST’s official password guidelines state you should not have password expiry unless there is evidence of a compromise

Canceled that one back when they fired Jon Stewart because he wanted to report on China and Israel

Their point is Disney owns 100% as of 2023

I moved somewhere where signs over a certain height (maybe 8 feet?) are illegal.
It’s glorious

Even those weren’t super great…
In many cases he provided experimental drugs unapproved by the FDA to test them in other countries

If you truly understand the historical context of how calling it “jaywalking” rather than what it was at the time has been used to change the cultural narrative, and you understand how Google (and Apple) are trying to say “sideloading” is dangerous and shouldn’t be allowed on their devices, but can’t get to how that shift in narrative is being used… I agree, there’s no point in continuing
It’s been a few years, I dont know if they ever fixed it…
However, at least as of 2022, Wells Fargo (the 4th largest bank), had case insensitive passwords.
If you made your password
