I don’t see that as cursed, but rather that humanity is so resilient no matter the size of the evil, humanity always endures. And it’s not just the US, but pretty much any population in any region going back to thousands of years. The God that helps survive all this evil is called Oneness (cooperation & empathy). And that we are the product of strong ancestors.

Of course, you are the only protagonist of your movie and you must chase your destiny. You must follow your heart, and you must be honest to yourself, and you must chase with all your might, and if you’re lucky, you might find who you really are and what it is to be human, and only then do you find out what everyone else is and what humanity is all about, and only then do you find your purpose in life.

Looks like I’m quite late to suggest, but couldn’t we use AI to admin instances & mod communities, if not fully then at least the bulk of it? Also charge users on a freemium model so as to pay for admins / mods? Every instance needs an incentive structure to maintain a healthy & happy community and a way to pay for the operations required to run the instance.

You don’t owe anybody anything, just survival and freedom for yourself and that’s it. You can take care of others only after you are safe and content.

To give an analogy, in case of an airline emergency, you put your mask on first before you help others. You are only responsible for yourself and not others. But if you are all set, then sure you may help others and it is encouraged that you do, but not a responsibility.

Education should help, but siloed propaganda is really effective to counter even education because propaganda uses fear & hate to bring out the animal in you, and when you’re angry and scared you forget all reason and all education.

The British did a ‘divide and rule’. Religion was the tool used to do the division 75 years ago at the time of separation. Religion is the same tool used today to divide the country internally and manufacture hate and consent for war.

If you’re not free, the world isn’t free.

Greed finds a way to get too big. However, it is self-destructive and therefore short-lived. Greed is so selfish, it eats itself alive till there is one last malignant tumor cell standing, and with him ends the entire disease, sometimes only to reappear a few decades later when old memories have faded and the wisdom wasn’t fully taught and/or learned. Like a body fights a foreign body, humanity collectively needs to isolate, acknowledge, and curb the evil of greed. Humanity will eventually evolve to learn this important lesson and make sure this mistake isn’t repeated.

Exactly, that’s another thing that I’ve learned recently - don’t lose your shit when things seem to be falling apart - one, it’s a system much bigger than your individual control, but two, and more importantly, those things tend to self correct for the better, like action-reaction, like a wave, or ying-yang and duality of life. It’s quite liberating to see this way at the bigger picture.

Climate change, wealth inequality, fascism, war, the global epidemic of loneliness & depression aren’t distinct disconnected problems. They are a singular globally connected problem. And it requires a singular globally connected solution. We’d need a few things -

1. We will need to take care of all human essential services like healthcare, education, food, banking, technology etc. Only things that add positive value to society. We can have a singular globally coordinated effort.
2. We will need an economic engine, so as to provide a UBI for all, reasonably paid based on cost of living. To generate income we can sell our products & services at a markup to non-union members.
3. We will need an army because the enemy has one and we need to defend ourselves.
4. Decentralization is also a defence mechanism. Don’t build 1 giant bank, build a million connected credit unions all utilizing the same backend tools & processes. It’s such a nice defense mechanism that we might even be able to skip the army altogether, which bank are you gonna breakup when we can open a hundred more tomorrow.

Everyone alive right now must have ancestors who very literally did live & survive though the stone age and the ages before and after that. Wish I knew what my ancestors did to survive stone age, or better still if I could like watch them in a time lapse video. I guess I might have run away from stone lifting to go be a shepherd or something.
